And how ironic that it should be her influence that swayed him from what was a very gracious attitude toward the people who appreciated (and purchased!) his music, because she really only has talent as a well-trained, practiced pianist. Her vocal ability (or lack there of) is something she has even attested to and would receive more negative attention if she didn't play the nostalgia card and sing standards...not a lot of competition for her. Her renditions are unimaginative and unimpressive. Elvis is quoted as saying that her version of 'Almost Blue' "blew him away." No doubt! She parroted him perfectly - no wonder he liked it! That's all she ever does...sing it like the original star recorded it. She isn't talented enough to be so snobby. And as for HER Lexus ad, she has mentioned in interviews that she only did the ad because she didn't "actually have to sell anything." What a lame excuse for selling out! What did she think they were paying her for? She seems to think it's so much more honorable because she didn't have to hold a product next to her head and say its name with a big smile?
