THE HAIRSPRAY PREMIERE NYC TONIGHT - Details to follow
Rumor has it that the Hairspary Premiere is in NYC Tonight. The stars are converging: Queen Latifa is on the Today Show, then Kelly & Regis then Letterman; John Travolta is on Letterman tomorrow and Regis & Kelly so they are in town. The whole cast is at the Today Show on Friday..JPG)
When I hear about a movie opening on certain dates, I usually do a few things. I try and get info out of my sources, but they don't always give it up, or even know. Then I check the TV Guide and I see who's in town, then I check the various theaters to see where they are not showing a movie during the week. Then I either call the theater or go back to my sources with the information for confirmation. Of course nowadays I could do it the easy way and just ask my photo agency in NYC, but when I didn't have one I had to do some good old fashion detective work.

Wish I could be there but as you know I have this gig in Philly I am covering. Tonight I too will be seeing a man in drag as I catch the Phila GLBT Film Festival's ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW at the Troc at 9PM. Talking about Queen, here's the one I was hoping to see in Philly this weekend, but she did one event and ran back to her girlfriend, er I mean other committments in NYC.

what great detective skills you have! doing a little homework can pay off! those are some great tips for a fan who isn't in the know. too bad i'm not where all the action is. although i did see hairspray on broadway when i visited NYC a couple years back. can't wait for the movie!
Ah, the Ziegfield. I remember that theatre well for the '16 Blocks' premiere. If I do recall, that's where we met. Almost a year and a half ago. Where does the time go?...
I forgot to say, check out my blog for the pictures from the 'Hairspray' World Premiere held in London a couple of weeks ago. We didn't get the big names, but at least some people turned up!
