Joseph Cross as Augusten Burroughs Jill Clayburg as Fern Mills Augusten's mother, Deirdre (here played by Annette Bening), is a bright but unbalanced would-be poet; Thanks to a friend I was able to catch the departures from the screening. Sadly I missed Augusten as he went out a different door.
