NYC Marathon and Central Park at its Peak
Sunday I woke up relatively early and headed to the park to see if the leaves had finally changed for the fall. I was pleasently surprised that Fall had finally begun. I got off the subway at 66th Street to check out the end of the NYC Marathon. The wheelchair race was just ending.
I went over to the Time Warner Center to check out one of my favorite views. In the center of the picture, behind the truck, Marilson Gomes dos Santos made a remarkable debut, breaking away from the lead pack in the last quarter of Sunday's race and holding off an all-star field of challengers to become the first South American to win the race, man or woman. Gomes finished in 2 hours, 9 minutes and 58 seconds.
Then I walked over to the west side of the park to take a few photos. I happen to come upon the part of the race that runs right through the center.
As luck would have it I caught Lance Armstrong running by. This was within a minute of me walking to this spot.
Then I went back to shooting in the park.
Congratulations to the DEMOCRATS, now its on to the WHITE HOUSE!!

How cool lucking out on Lance Armstrong! Love the photos, makes me miss New York. I will have to stop there again when I finally head home. How did you do those photos part Black and White, part colour? They look great!
Gorgeous photos!
Hey,nice blog!!! I found a place where you can make an extra $800 or more a month. I do it part time and make a lot more than that. It is definitely worth a visit! You can do it in your spare time and make good cash. Make Extra Cash
