Boathouse Row at Dusk

Now that I have recovered from my minor frostbite, after spending a couple hours in the cold capturing these shots the other evening, I can post them. This is Boathouse Row where the colleges keep their scull boats for the races. I'm lucky as its right across the street from where I live, so these house will become my new obsession now that I have given up the Empire State Building for now. In the evening the Boathouses are illuminated. They lit them in 1976 for the Bicentenial Celebration of our Country. Last year they changed the light bulbs to LED bulbs and now the lights change colors according to the season (a rip off of the ESB) Opposite of Boathouse Row is the Waterworks and the Philadelphia Art Museum. In the 1800's the Waterworks pumped water from the river to the City of Phila. Now its a tourist attraction and restuarant.
