Clay Aiken in Philadelphia, singing, humming, but mostly talking

He complained about everything under the sun. The Top Forty radio stations that never play his songs, how he is being persecuted by them. He touched on the Kelly Ripa fiasco, criticized the FBI for questioning him because he accidentally put his foot on someones arm rest (even though that was a silly incident, you know how airplane security is now), then he read a letter someone wrote that criticized him about eating too many crispy cream donuts, but never mentioned that he was just in NYC being all gay and shit with dancers from his new musical based on the Claymates, Says Simon Cowell is a nasty mean man, I was thinking the same thing about poor victimized Clay. Anyway you can read more about it on http://www.phillychitchat.com/ You're regularly scheduled Confessions of a Paparazzi will return next week, and return to telling you the stories of what goes on behind the scenes for a paparazzi to catch the photots the fans love. I have also signed on with a new photo agency and I will tell you what that is like.

Apparently you don't have a sense of humor. Where's the rest of it?

I don't think we were at the same concert...I saw a humorous, easy going man with a great voice! BTW his name was Clay Aiken. The man is a wonderful entertainer, too bad there are people who aren't smart enough to pick up on the humor, but then if they did that they couldn't criticize and bash him could they? Agenda much?

Gees, lighten up, dude, it's called entertaining the audience. Did you miss all the people laughing and having a great time at the show? Yes, some of these were inside jokes that non-fans may not understand, but so what? Clay's banter is an important part of his concerts, and I wouldn't miss it fo the world.

I like that he talked to the audience, but nothing was positive. He appreciated that the fans paid to see him, but then he was so rude to the person who came all the way from Iceland. Although I don't have an agenda, per se, I was just really sad he was so negative, especially with all the young girls in the audience. Life is not that negative, although Clay has seems to court trouble for some reason.

First of all,Clay is NOT connected to Idol, The Musical in any way, shape or form except in the context of what the play is about(mostly about 8 H. S. students and their different personalities who also happen to adore Clay after seeing him perform on AI2). He never went to NYC to see the musical-and does not have a group of gay dancers as his friends (I am seeing the musical in Aug. and looking forward to it.) "Don't believe everything you read."
I know several people who have seen at least one of his shows, so far, on this tour-I will be attending one next week in NH-and they all had very positive things to say about the show; not just how great his voice is, but, just how funny he has been. I have even downloaded some of the videos and he is in top form. Clay is a very SNARKY young man. No one who goes to his concerts takes his 'jabs' seriously. When he 'puts down someone' he is NOT serious, he is joking! WOW, such a lack of sense of humor now-a-days is what makes this society in such a funk--LIGHTEN UP, ALREADY!!

UMM, WHAT concert did YOU attend last night? Because I saw Clay Aiken at The Mann in Philadelphia, and it sure doesn't sound like we were at the same show.

I heard every word and sound he made, and I NEVER heard him complain, NOR criticize the FBI.

Clay was FUNNY, entertaining us about the current events in his life, in his usual self-depricating manner.

And what about his VOICE? You DID notice he SANG, didn't you? BEST male vocalist EVER.

Clay Aiken is HOT, sexy, handsome, intelligent, cute, funny, TALENTED, entertaining - I would pay to see him every day for the rest of my life, if I could.

It amazes me that some people can go to a show where the comedy bits make 99.9% of the audience laugh their asses off, but they come away thinking what they heard was complaints. Astounding that anyone could be that dense.

I guess I was confused with the guy I saw on the Christmas special last year. I never thought snarky was entertaining. Why can't I have my opinion, if you can have yours?

I guess I just don't understand why someone who isn't entertained by snarkiness would go to a Clay Aiken show? Just doesn't compute, is all.

Have your opinion, and welcome.

No, what he courts is people like you who make it your life's work to try and ruin him and his reputation. I hope you are proud of yourself, because no one else is.

I had no idea he was a passive/aggressive snarky person. Why is it that you hate Perez Hilton, but love Clay. They are both snarky. Are you biased?

Are you brain-dead?

You give Perez Hilton a run for his money with the all the hate you spew against Clay Aiken. I guess that is a requirement for you gay bloggers. Your agendas are all so tired and repetitious. The thing is, no matter how many times you try to convince the world that Clay is gay, he never will be. You will also never drive his core fanbase away, because we don't believe any of your crap. It hasn't worked in all these years. Why do you think it ever will?

There is a huge difference between Perez Hilton's snark and Clay's snark, like night and day. Clay is not out to hurt anyone and his snark is kept clean. Perez Hilton has a nasty, filthy mouth (fingers on laptop). In addition he makes up lies and then says they are the truth. He uses photoshopped pictures of different people. He is out to hurt people, not just Clay either. He gets his jollies from his filth and from trying to make others look bad. One look at him and you know he lacks any kind of credibility at all. Clay, on the other hand, has never set out to deliberately hurt others.

To Anonymous...ok we really know it CLAY...

So Clay, if anyone needs to lighten up it's you. I find it funny that anytime a person speaks negatively about you you strike back or have your followers, the so called “Clay-mates” do it for you. Clay you and your “Clay-mates” need help. The world is not against you, in fact, most of us could careless about you and your apparent closeted life. If this upsets you then do me a favor and stay out of Philly…we don’t like your kind here.

queerX – advocate for all things queer.

There you go again with that lame ass excuse about when speaking negitively about Clay the the Claymates jump in. I will let you know there is a difference between speaking your negitive opinion and just bashing for the sake of bashing. That lame ass excuse just doesn't wash anymore.

Why are all the Clay Mates anonymous, are they afraid they'll get fired from their jobs?

That's okay. The rest of the country doesn't like your kind, either.

Since you somehow feel entitled to speak for all of Philly, I feel entitled to speak for everyone else.

I don't think the poster was driving the fan base away, although some of them could get arrested for being the age of his grandmother. Hey ladies, Barry Manilow is still alive.
