The Illusionist Premiere

The Illustionist Premiere was last night in NYC. A magician in turn-of-the-century Vienna who falls in love with a woman well above his social standing. When she becomes engaged to a prince, the magician uses his powers to win her back and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna. Cast: Edward Norton, Paul Giamatti, Jessica Biel and Rufus Sewell Due to technical errors and misinformation and confusion I was late getting to the premiere so I missed the Red Carpet runs. I did catch Jessica Biel on the Red Carpet doing this interview. Last year I met this up and coming journalist David at the fashion show Oct 05. We spent lots of hours waiting for celebs to go to the shows. He was very interesting as you can see by his web site www.davidjr.com Now he is a freelancer, and does a lot of work for www.genart.org Here he is interviewing Jessica Biel. I was able to catch up with him after the movie.Since I have bought my new camera with the long lens I have now been able to catch shots like this of Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Lad of the Lake) being interviewed. I am standing about 50 feet away. Ed Norton. Was completely irritated that I missed catching him since one of the daily readers of the blog requested an Ed Norton photog if I ever saw him; Oh well there's another movie early in September. Bree Williamson (born December 28, 1981) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her portrayal of Jessica Buchanan on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, a role she has been playing since February 2003. It's the first time I have seen her at any function. I love One Life to Live so I recognized her immediately, unlike the paparazzi. Unfortunately she didn't make the photo wire services. This past year Jessica has discovered she has another personality, Tess, who ran away from Lanview to NYC, met a man and got pregnant. Now she is back to Jessica and must share her child with a man she doesn't know, while trying to fight flashbacks of Tess and Nash's romance, even though Jessica is in love with Antonio the disgraced police officer who doesn't seem to have a job for the past couple years. I caught Jessica Biel on her way out of the theater. Ugh I can't stand that one security guard. He was working another event a few weeks back and I had one of those stalker rages when he tried to move me away from the Red Carpet. I told him in the not so nicest term, "I am not on MOMA's property, You do not own the SIDEWALK" Eventually he gave up, but then just stood in front of every shot I tried to take. The After Party or the AP as people like to call it, was held in the Meatpacking District, which a few years ago was a really scary place at night. Now it's a very clubby place for the beautiful people and most of the young hip parties are held in this area. It's not a place the tourist will be found, and the celebrities can go about their partying without being bothered, except if I am there.Long ago it was the Red Light District, old habits never die. This was the scene going on behind me.Finally Ed Norton exits the party. He wouldn't pose for me, and he wouldn't sign for my friend.Jessica Biel on the otherhand was super nice to give us this shot.
