My Favorite Environmentally Conscious New Yorker's Night Out

Last night I caught Matthew and SJP leaving the RENT 10th Anniversary show. Looks like my favorite New Yorker's are serious about the environment and saving gas - they came and left in a baby blue "OZONE" Toyota Prius hybrid-electric car. Plus looks like one of them likes to listen to Sirius satelitte radio as a brochure regarding the service was tucked in the backseat pocket, maybe they're a listener to that other great New Yorker - Howard Stern.

Guess who I literally ran into the other night

I was looking for my seat at the play "Awake and Sing" starring Ben Gazzarra, Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Wanamaker (Awesome play, GO SEE IT). As I was looking for my aisle I ran smack dab into another confused soul looking for his aisle, Jake Gyllenhaal. He was with his sister Maggie and their parents. I said excuse me, as he did too, and then screamed YOU, YOU, You are my screen saver on my home computer. OK I didn't, but he is and I wanted too tell him, but thought I'd better not!! (he's standing in the middle with white shirt talking to Uma Thurman) Later I caught him outside. "Thanks for doing Brokeback Mountain, "I saw it 3 times and I know someone who saw it 7 times." "Could I have a photo with you?" He declined, but I did shoot a friend with him who was much more calm than I was - LOL Mark Ruffalo from my favorite movie "13 going on 30". Here he is talking to Jake (I can't Quit him) and Jake's mom about where they are going to eat.Here's Maggie and her Father going home. After the mayhem of fans, they just walked down the street like normal folk.Kathy Bates. She was one my "To Get List". She was very nice and looks super great.Ben Gazzarra, another person on the "Get List" as he was the first celeb I ever saw in my life way back in 1990 when I worked at Bookbinder's in Philly and he came in to eat.

Surprisingly was a Cheerleader in High School! Nicknamed "Vanna Banana" in High School. Used to list her occupation on "Wheel of Fortune" (1975) as "Letter Turner" (prior to the touch-sensitive game-board); now identifies herself as "TV Performer". Is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "World's Most Frequent Clapper", averaging 38 claps per episode of Wheel of Fortune. Appeared alongside ex-husband Jeff Goldblum in three films: Transylvania 6-5000 (1985), The Fly (1986) and Earth Girls Are Easy (1988) (my favorite film). Wears a size 12 shoe.

From Dave Navarro's blog on his web page: Tuesday night is the Camp Freddy show in NYC. Of course it is a private event, but you can probably catch our performance on the Spike TV awards show from Vegas soon. I don't even know what the show is called, but it's the one about cars hosted by Ice Cube. The concert took place on top of the marquee about 4 stories about the street.

After getting off the train from Philly

I walked by the one of my favorite celeb spots and saw Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi going into GMA for an interview (8:30AM). I wasn't really happy with this first photo, so I waited for 30 minutes and caught the 2nd photo. I was only a few minutes late for work. Ellen just jumped out of the SUV and is righting herself. This is where I am yelling at Ellen to buy her TIVO on Ebay to obtain 200 hrs of viewing. She stopped and asked me what I was talking about, I told her I saw an episode a few weeks back where she and Penny Marshall were complaining about not having enough hours on their TIVO's. She thanked me and asked me if I needed a ride to work, ok she really didn't asked me about the ride to work. It would have been nice if she had!

Kelly Ripa Then and Now - Still a Beauty!!

Ya gotta love Kelly Ripa and her quiet determination in her rise to stardom. In 1986, at age 15 she appeared on Dancin' On Air, 5 years later it's was off to All My Children to play one of my favorite characters - Hayley Vaughn niece of Uncle Porkchop, and now 2006 she's co-host of Regis & Kelly and going to fabulous parties looking like a million bucks. Besides the atrocious '80s hairdo, I would say she looks just about the same. I love Kelly Ripa!! I have a new Obsession

I caught Three Days of Rain. It was ok, but Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd STOLE THE SHOW, those guys can act. Julia was good, but not great. Although it was great seeing her. I was about 6 people back from the line, tomorrow night I will be right up front.

Here is Matthew McConaughey leaving a late night talk show. Somehow the fans, paparazzi and autograzzi always find the celebs. The place was mobbed as MM ran off to his movie premiere down in Chelsea. I was glad to read this week that the box office for the movie is at 60 Million dollars.

Robin Williams was about as Friendly as They Come

Yes I actually hung outside of a hotel (A Trump hotel) because I heard one of my Favorite stars was staying there and he would pose for a photo. Robin Williams was in town filming "Night at the Museum" in what seems to be a similar story to Jumanji, where the animals now are coming alive at the Museum of Natural History. Robin plays Pres. Theodore Roosevelt, and by some kind of osmosis the animals at the museum come alive and run into Central Park. It wasn't long for me to see my first celebrity sighting: Who did I see first, but Marla Maples staying at a Trump Hotel. I guess they are on friendly basis. She did have her daughter Tiffany with her. A cute little tyke. After an hour sure enough Robin Williams returned from his dinner (those paparazzi sure have the celebs schedule down pat) Robin Williams and Me. He was super nice. Chatted with us for about 5 minutes, was funny, and made sure we got all the photos we wanted of him. I stayed around a few more hours and shot photos of Bruce Willis, Aiesha Taylor, that religious guy, hmm Joel something and his family (he posed for the paparazzi) and then about 12 Midnite Robin Williams exited the hotel, in his camaflouge coat, and went out for coffee, he said.

Lisa Rinna announced on Regis & Kelly

that she was going to see Jersey Boys that night. So a friend and I were there to greet her. She was grateful (or scared) that we were there to greet her. She is super sweet and hot in person.

Julia was very generous with her time. I know one autograzzi who got three things signed. On Wednesday night they changed the place where she would exit. The crowds were still enormous. (before she shared an exit door with the Avenue Q & the Phantom of the Opera stars, it was probably difficult for their fans to reach them) I think the enormous crowd problem could be solved if they got rid of the paparrazzi and the professional autograph dealers (autograzzi) (everyone in this picture falls under those categories). I would like to see her only sign playbills.

I waited for Liza for over 90 Minutes. She didn't sign, she didn't pose. She said she was in a hurry and then sat in her SUV for 15 minutes until her publicist and assistant came out. When she opened the door a huge puff of cigarette smoke billowed out. It wasn't lost on me that next to Letterman's studio is the famed (and defunct) Studio 54 where Liza learned to party in the 70s.
